Michael trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and Co and qualified in 1971.
He then joined Kleinwort Benson as Group Financial Accountant. In 1977 he was appointed
Chief Accountant, a position he held for seven years.
He moved to join Gota (UK) Ltd, a start up UK incorporated Bank, as Head of Finance
and Operations, in 1984. In 1986 he joined Bank of Tokyo International as Director,
Operations and Company Secretary. He was appointed DGM and CFO of Bank of Tokyo
in 1990. From 2000 to 2005 he was Director of Turkish Bank (UK) Ltd responsible
for all branch and Head Office operations.
Michael has served as a non-executive director of two UK incorporated banks specialising
in risk management, corporate governance and compliance. He also acts as Chairman
of the Board of Trustees of a UK pension fund of an overseas bank. In his time in
banking, Michael has served the Association of Foreign Banks as a member and Chairman
of the Financial Controllers Committee and Chairman of the World Group.
At Eximus, Michael is responsible for banking advisory work as well as certain finance
assignments. He is an expert in assessing debt finance propositions.
